The Original Hidden Object Games Were Retro Adventure Classics
Before the “Hidden Object Game” genre came into existence, the Point-and-Click method of gaming had already taken root in the gaming world. Beginning from the late 1980s, adventure game developers started taking advantage of the “Mouse” and the control of a pointer using it, thus the term “Point-and-Click”. This game mechanic which continued to evolve over time eventually became the foremost foundation of today’s HOGs or Hidden Object Games.
